Barley Mow

Freehouse. The wood burning stove gave a warm welcome. This traditional rural local has a bar with a pool table and two other rooms. On our most recent visit there was only one Offa's Dyke beer available as we were told the Offa's Dyke Brewery had slowed down production. Food is served from Thursday - Sunday. Tuesday is jaming night - bring your own instrument. Located just a few miles south west of Oswestry in this unspoiled part of Shropshire. Car park. Tel - 01691 656889. Last visited Apr 2018

Readers comments - Visited on a Friday evening and found it an enjoyable experience. There were the 4 house beers on. They were well presented, although I  am not a fan of Offas Dyke beers generally - Aug 2010
Not as busy as we had thought on a wet Friday night. Full range of Offas Dyke beers on offer - all in good condition - but some of them certainly an acquired taste for my palate - Aug 2010
Lovely pub, roaring fires, great beer and excellent service... Fantastic idea to serve take-away beer and food, just moved to the area and proud to have this pub as my local - Dec 2011
