Barley Mow

Freehouse. The wood burning stove gave a warm welcome. This traditional rural local has a bar with a pool table and two other rooms. The Grim Reaper is a tasty old fashioned Porter. Food is served Thursday-Sunday. Tuesday is jaming night - bring your own instrument. Most of the beers are from the microbrewery next door to the pub - the Offa's Dyke Brewery. Located just a few miles south west of Oswestry in this unspoiled part of Shropshire. Car park. Tel - 01691 656889. Last visited May 2015

Readers comments - Visited on a Friday evening and found it an enjoyable experience. There were the 4 house beers on. They were well presented, although I  am not a fan of Offas Dyke beers generally - Aug 2010
Not as busy as we had thought on a wet Friday night. Full range of Offas Dyke beers on offer - all in good condition - but some of them certainly an acquired taste for my palate - Aug 2010
Lovely pub, roaring fires, great beer and excellent service... Fantastic idea to serve take-away beer and food, just moved to the area and proud to have this pub as my local - Dec 2011
