Since
2015 numerous sensitive improvements have been made to the
pub which added a restaurant area. The bar remains unaltered which is a good thing
because it's listed on CAMRA's inventory of historic pubs. It's still a
welcoming village local with a real fire in the bar. The two beers are
well kept. Food served. Car park around the back. Christmas time always brings a new cartoon
painted on the mirror in the bar which
also has a traditional red
and black quarry tile checkerboard floor. Huge collection of beer mats on the
beams and some interesting local black & white photographs adorn the walls.
Beer garden too. Tel - 01691 653347. Visited Jan 2020 Facebook
