Banks's pub. The beer is a bit ordinary but this is a tidy pub with a splendid original iron range in the lounge. There is a bar as well. Situated on Beaumaris Street. Visited Mar 2003

Marstons pub. Very basic two roomed local with regular and guest beers on offer. Pool table and darts. Popular pub with a car park. Situated at Chetwynd End. Visited Jun 2011

Readers comment -  Pub changed hands in Feb 2003 and if you visit again in the future I'm sure the results will be better than the last time! 
Now with new licensee and cellarman, the real ales are still of the same quality but now include Deuchars IPA as a permanent fixture and 1 guest ale which is changed weekly, to include the old favourites like Speckled Hen, Spitfire and Bombardier - Mar 2007

New Inn

Now a Joules pub. Historic coaching inn with three real ales on offer. Popular bar and snug - which really is snug with a fire, a sofa and stag horns on the wall. Situated just outside the town centre on Stafford Street. Loads of brasses on the walls and on the beams and everywhere. Beer garden. Nice etched glass on the windows. Visited Jun 2011

Three Fish

Newish pub built in 2010. Situated next to Mere Park Garden Centre, Stafford Road A41. This is a Beefeater pub, part of the Premier Inn complex, so you know what you're going to get - open plan so all the pub is given over to diners. Single ale on. Food served.
