Bradford Arms

Popular pub with nice beer and nice surroundings - there's a bar at the front and a restaurant area at the back. Food served. Car park. Three real ales were on - Black Sheep is the regular ale and there are two guest ales. There's a huge collection of beer mats that attests to the number of guest beers over the years.  Real fire. Situated in the middle of Llanymynech on the A458 between Oswestry and Welshpool.  Tel - 01691 830582  Visited Jun 2019 Pub website

Freehouse. Well kept beer - the Station Bitter was on top form. This roadside pub is popular with locals, the bar is a bit loud and laddish at times. There's a car park round the back. Pool table.  Tel - 01691 831585  Visited Aug 2019  Pub website

The Dolphin

This pub is just over the border in Wales - we've included it because the other half of Llanymynech is in Shropshire. There were a couple of well kept real ales being served. Food served. There's a restaurant area and a beer garden at the back. Car park too. Tel - 01691 839672. Visited July 2018  Pub website

Lion Hotel
Closed - it will probably be converted into housing. There used to be a sign saying the pub is half in England and half in Wales. Feb 2006
