 Closed.New owners in 2015 and now back open after a refit. Popular, multi-roomed pub situated just off the Whittington to Ellesmere Road, right next to the Llangollen canal. Unique outside bar. Large beer garden and car park. Four real ales on our last visit - all of them brewed in Shropshire. Food served in the restaurant area. The pub is named after "Mad" Jack Mytton - a local eccentric who is renowned for being a sportsman and a bit mad. The bar has what looks like a telegraph pole as one of the beams. Tel - 01691 679861.
